The training was aimed at promoting the use of the app, which was developed by the port to make the work of drivers easier and more efficient.
The app reduces waiting times, cuts emissions, eliminates paper, speeds up procedures and supports environmental sustainability, according to the port.
The training was carried out by ValenciaportPCS technicians at the entrance and exit of the container terminals of COSCO, APM and MSC, and in the transport support areas of the Port of Valencia. The process ended with a positive response from the drivers, who shared their experiences with the digital tool to continue improving the app.
In addition, the PCS specialists gathered information from the app users about the main incidents encountered and proposals for improvement that can be applied to continue perfecting the technological platform.
ValenciaportPCS is one of the first technological platforms or Port Community Systems in the world. The tool is used by around 1,100 companies and public bodies operating in the ports of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia.
The port handled 79.36 million tonnes of goods a 6.92 per cent fall alongside the 9.85 per cent decrease in boxes.
