Barcelona vs Real Madrid lineups: El Clasico predictions, club news, and injury updates

Carlo Ancelotti could pick an attacking line-up for Real Madrid’s El Clasico clash with Barcelona as they look to overturn their Copa del Rey deficit.

The Blaugrana claimed a 1-0 win in the semi-final first leg at the Bernabeu, meaning Los Blancos have little choice but to be aggressive when the rivals reconvene at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

Real secured a convincing 6-0 win over Valladolid in their weekend warm-up as Ancelotti deployed a 4-2-3-1 featuring Marco Asensio and Vinicius Jr on the flanks, and Rodrygo in behind Karim Benzema.

A similar approach against Barcelona is certainly feasible although Ancelotti will likely want to find space for Luka Modric and Federico Valverde following their rests last time out.

When asked about the midfield pair on Tuesday, Ancelotti said: “Kroos and Modric are untouchable but that doesn’t mean they’re going to play tomorrow. There are many untouchables but then you have to choose an eleven. I have to think about the resources I have on the bench. Starting isn’t the most important thing.”
