Russia calls on the Central Asian countries of the CIS to exercise maximum caution when building interaction with the West. This was stated in an interview with TASS by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
“We and our Central Asian friends remember how American good offices turn out. How did the recent US Afghan epic end, for example? Nothing but chaos and ruins.
In today’s increasingly multipolar world, there is no place for Washington’s democratization experiments, which at best end in color revolutions,” he said.
According to him, in this situation we call on our Central Asian partners to be as careful as possible when building interaction with Western countries.
“We are convinced that the stability and security of the countries of Central Asia and the CIS as a whole is primarily the task of our states, and not of extra-regional players pursuing dubious goals, as noted above,” Galuzin said. “We have all the tools to successfully solve it – CIS, CSTO, specialized bilateral agreements.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also spoke about the fact that the West is trying to force the countries of Central Asia to break off relations with Russia.
“As for the Central Asian states… For many years, our Western colleagues have tried to plant pro-American, pro-European, pro-NATO non-governmental organizations there. Through these tools of” soft power “, the West wants to at least question the further development of allied friendly relations between Russia and the Central Asian countries But I don’t see any reason to suspect that these “attempts” of the West are causing some serious positive reaction,” he said.
